Residents of Adenta have gone bonkers over government’s failure to complete foot bridges along the Adenta-Madina stretch after a car knocked down a woman to her death at exactly 3:15pm at the Adenta barrier on Thursday.
The woman believed to be in her early forties according to eyewitnesses died on the spot after the speeding car from heading towards Madina knocked her down.
The tragic incident occurred at a time residents have threatened to embark on a peaceful demonstration to draw government’s attention to the situation.
Yaw Buaben Asamoah, Member of Parliament (MP) for Adenta speaking on the matter on earlier in the week explained that the decision by residents of Madina and Adenta is a democratic right to bring to the notice of Government matters that concern citizens.
He, however, cautioned the organizers to ensure the protest does not turn violent.
