Ghana Election 2020:Split In Parliamentary Seats Means There Will Be Much More Consultation
The majority leader Hon.Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu has noted that ,the near split in parliament will go a long way to deepen democracy and allow government to be more consultative than before.

Speaking on Citi FM and monitored by Ghgossip.com ,Mr Kyei Mensah Bonsu said as far as the NPP don’t have overwhelm majority in parliament ,it will make their work difficult but there are positives as well.

“It also would mean that government would have to be much more consultative and reach out to the opposition much better we are used to and that could deepen democracy if we allow that to happen,”Kyei Mensah Bonsu said.

The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP)has 137 seats in parliament while as the opposition NDC has 136 seats with 1 independent according to the electoral commision.
