The Ghana Health Service is set to distribute over 3 million mosquito nets across the the Ashanti region.
This action by the Health Service seek to prevent and minimize the deadly disease malaria, which is caused by Mosquito bites.
The 6 days distribution exercise would begin on 15th November to 21st of the same month, 2018 from 7 AM- 5 PM each day.
A total number of 3,674,680 nets are allocated for distribution as against 1,630,999 households total registration in the region.
“The distribution point would be created in all the various communities.
Kindly take your cord Card to your designated distribution point in your community”, the Ashanti Regional Director of Health, Mr. Emmanuel Kwadjo Tenkorang told the media in a press briefing.
Meanwhile he has cautioned people who did not participate in the registration exercise that fell out couple of months ago to stay behind the distribution exercise and then wait for another opportounity.
“We are only sharing among people who registered for the nets, if u did not register then I’m sorry we can not share with you”.
