Read their release below:
I am calling on Mrs Betty Mould Iddrisu to Contest for the National Chairman position in NDC. I believe she will be a true representation of the party grassroots. She has demonstrated in the past years of her commitment, dedication and loyalty to the principles of National Democratic Congress. I have known Madam Betty since 1996 and I believe she is capable of leading the party at this time to victory due to her in-depth knowledge in Ghana Politics, Law and her leadership abilities. I am proud to join many comrades in NDC who had called on Betty Mould Iddrisu to Contest as National Chairman.
Betty is from Ashanti Regional by matrimonial linkage and Greater Accra by patrilineal linkage and linked to Upper West by her marriage to Alhaji Mahama Iddrisu. Apart from the Regional balance she brings the feminist touch to the leadership of the party as Chairman as well as the politics in Ghana.
Betty will be a perfect connect to the youth and the women’s wing of our party. I believe for accessibility, care, honesty, humility, unity, grassroots empowerment, women empowerment etc. this is Mrs Betty Mould Iddrisu’s time to lead the party.
